Active vs. Passive

This video is a good example about what the passive voice means.  The passive voice is used when the subject does NOT do the action of the sentence.  In this video, Pete is a passive person;  bad things are always happening TO him because he does not take the initiative, he does not take action in his life, and so he is known as Passive Pete.  Later in the film, Pete realizes that he must take action in his life, which he does, and changes from passive Pete to Active Pete.
